Level Up your Security: Black Hat 2015

Britelite is thrilled to announce our participation in one of the world’s largest network security conferences, Black Hat 2015 in Las Vegas. Britelite was asked by network security experts Tenable to help them bring their brand's story to life and connect with attendees in a new and intriguing way. Together with Tenable Network Security, Lightspeed Marketing, Intelligent Registration, Immersive Pro and Neu Concepts, BLI devised a series of branded 8 bit games as well as custom projection mapped content to tell the Tenable story like never before...

The Black Hat Conference

Black Hat is one of the oldest and most well known network security conferences. The conference, held at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas was host to the biggest names in network security. The conference focused on briefings and education sessions about the latest tools and threats in the network security realm.

The Ask...

Tenable asked us to help them create a unique 8 bit world inside their booth, and to do it we pulled out all the stops. We started by developing the 8 bit art style and making a motion graphics wrap to go around the unique architecture of the space. We were able to use an array of projectors to achieve a comprehensive map of the entire trade show booth.

An 8 bit world

Finally, we developed a series of games, based on the 8 bit classics, that could be played at the booth on NES controllers. We made a Tenable themed, Space Invaders (Network Invaders), Pac-Man (Arc-Man) and Mega Man (Mega Tenable Man). The games were hosted in arcade booths at the show, and Network Invaders is available to play online as well. It was great being able to recreate these classic games through the lens of tenable and attendees really loved the ability to relive their youth at the Tenable booth.

A big thanks to the Black Hat conference as well as Tenable Network Security for getting us involved in this event. We got to make some really unique installations in collaboration with Neu Concepts, Lightspeed Marketing, Intelligent Registration, Immersive Pro.
