Automated Cafe Experience

The San Francisco cafe/tech startup reached out to Britelite to develop a first of a kind, fully-automated customer ordering and pickup system. Working with our partners Speck Design, we engineered and deployed 27 transparent LCD food cubbies that facilitated the automated food ordering process. As patrons order food, a video wall is updated with the order status. Once the food is ready, the transparent display on a cubby runs a personalized animation to show that the food is ready. As the content fades, the patron’s name appears on the screen with a “touch to open” animation.
